34 Weeks!

Well I've hit the 34 week mark!! I had an appoinment today and my Doctor couldn't believe how low I've already dropped. She wants me to stay off my feet as much as possible so I don't go into labor at 35 or 36 weeks. She also had a good laugh at the somersaults the baby was doing as she was trying to take the baby's heart beat (which was around the mid 140's). I go back for my next appointment in two weeks and then every week there after. As excited as I am about having this baby, I have to remember this is my last time being pregnant, so I need to try to enjoy it....discomfort/pain and all. In all honesty this pregnancy has gone by very quickly. Oh and feel free to comment on how fake my belly looks :0)

The Nursery

We finally got the baby's room done on Monday. Geoff and I worked for almost 12 hours. We had to get all the furniture and junk moved out of the room (since it used to be the office), paint the room, then transfer all the furniture from Kaylyns room into it. It's so nice to get it all done.

Here's the room being painted. Geoff and I agreed on a seafoam green (since we don't know the gender of the baby), but then after he bought the paint he decided he didn't like the color and it was too girlie. After talking to one of my friends she suggested doing half the green with a light brown that would match the Winnie the Pooh decor. We love the colors together.

Here's one side of the room. Not sure if we'll keep the blue rug in there, depending on the gender, but we figured we might as well put it there for now.

It's fun to have the nursery all done and set back up. Kaylyn still insists I rock her everynight before bed, so we now go into the nursery, but she doesn't mind. It's her and my special time, so even though I've tried to just lay her down at night, I don't mind rocking her. We talk about her day and I sing to her and then she's more than happy to go crawl in her bed.

This is Kaylyn's room now that all the baby furniture is out. She has so much room. We finally got her play kitchen, table and Barbie House moved to her room. She was so happy she kept throwing herself on the floor, kicking her feet and swaying her arms back and forth, while screaming. Everything is in it's place and organized and it feels like we have more room.

Haydens School Party

Hayden finally got to have his school party, because of the snow and school being cancelled they had to reschedule until now. Parents, siblings and Grandparents were invited, so Hayden was lucky enough to have all of us there. The party was called "The Polar Express Pajama Party", so he wore his jammies. They made ginger bread cookies, did holiday crafts and read the Polar Express. Both him and Kaylyn had such a good time.

New Years

We had no plans for New Years Eve this year and Geoff had to work till 11:30pm, so the day of I called our friends Stephenie and Peter and asked what they had planned and he had to work also till 10pm, so I invited her and the kids over, with the guys meeting us at our place when they were off. Steph brought over a pizza and the kids had a great time playing together and eating junk food, we then put them to bed around 9pm and we sat and talked until the guys got here, then we watched the Ball drop on tv. We had planned to play board games or the Wii, but we we're getting old and by 12:30am we were all tired so we just wanted to sit around and talk some more. We used to spend every New Years with them, but since the kids came along it's just gotten more difficult. We had a really good time though and we were glad we were able to spend time with friends again.
