Our Hotel

We stayed at the Fairfield Marriott. It was across the street from the Disneyland entrance on Harbor Blvd. It shares a parking lot with Mc Donalds and Millies (which I wouldn't suggest, go to our favorite place instead, which is also next door....Mimi's). I think this is one of the nicest, non-disney, hotel's we've ever stayed at.

Our room number. We requested a room that faced the park, because we heard the back side gets loud with the freeway, and we wanted to be able to see the fireworks and matterhorn. There were 8 floors, but our floor had the best view of the Mickey on the roof.

The kids loved to swim. The weather was only nice enough on two of the days, so we went back to hotel in the afternoon to relax and swim.

Time to go Home :(

This was our last night (Friday night) in the park. None of us wanted to leave. It went by so quickly, and even though we were able to ride everything (with exception to the Bugs Life rides and Snow White) it still seems like we didn't have enough time. The kids are already planning our next trip, when Hayden turns 9 in a short 17 months. Hopefully we'll be able to go back.

As we were walking between parks, Kaylyn saw this Mickey tile inlay on the ground and stops. She just pipes up that she wants her picture taken on it! So once she did, so did Hayden. Turned out cute though.

Kaylyn liked to climb down below. Not only could she sleep and not have to walk, but she said it warmer.

Poor little Bryn, had gotten sick the night before and spent her last day feverish and not feeling great.

I love Disneyland at night!

We took this picture at 12:30am after just walking out of the park exit. This kid never stops. There was many nights back at the hotel that we'd have the TV on and I would think everyone was asleep, when he'd ask me to change the channel. He's like his Mommy, a night owl.

By this point I was crying. I hate goodbye's.

Ears Pierced

Kaylyn has been asking to have her ears pierced for the last 2 years. I wanted to do it as soon as she asked, but Daddy had other plans. He wanted her to wait till she was 12, then we agreed on 8, but the more she asked the more she wore us down. We then agreed when she started school in Sept., but I then thought I want her home when she first has it done, so I can watch her and make sure she's not playing with them. So we then bumped it to her 5th Birthday, which will be in June. Well then Geoff went in to check on her one night, very late, when he got home from work and she woke up and told him about the best dream she had. She had got her ears pierced. So that's all it took. He came downstairs and said "I'm going to be the Best Dad ever and let her get her ears done before Disneyland". That's when I said...."not to close to Disneyland because there's alot of upkeep when they first get done and I'm going to worry about that on vacation". When we were at the beach we saw a Clares and decided she was ready. So we asked her and she was so excited we took before we left the coast. The picture above is the before picture.

We made sure to go when they'd have two people to do it at the same time, so she couldn't back out of the second ear! This was right before they did it. See the worried look.

This was immediatly after. She did so good.

Only one tear went down her cheek. I kept asking her if she loved them and she said "no, you wanted me to do this". Sure I now get the blame!! She picked a beautiful light purple stone (tanzinite, her birthstone). She's so proud of them and show's everyone. Even strangers in the store.

Here she is with her sucker they gave her. All pain forgotten, just enjoying her candy. They never went swollen, red or infected. She did so good turning them and only complained the first night that sleeping on her ears hurt a little. Not much longer and we can switch them out to a different color, not sure if we will though. They look so beautiful! I can't wait to do Bryn's in a few years :0)

Lincoln City

Geoff's parents took us to Lincoln City for our Birthday and Valentines Day the first weekend of March. We all stayed in the most amazing hotel room. It was a mini apartment with a one bedroom, a loft, 2 1/2 bathrooms, a pull-out couch for the kids and a full kitchen. The picture above was the view from our balcony, without zooming in! The weather was beautiful and in the 60's, so we were able to enjoy the beach and fly kites.

There's a heated outdoor pool and hot tub that the kids loved to swim in. We also went to the outlets and shopped (bought at Nike, Coach, Purfumania and Carters!). We had a blast. Thanks guys for the great trip and chance to spend time with you.

Brynley's 1st Birthday!!

My Baby turned 1 on Feb. 26th! Time has just flown by. She enjoyed her little party and kept her party hat on during the whole party.

This picture makes me kinda sad, realizing that it's the last "first" Birthday we'll ever celebrate.

She LOVED her Cake and playing in it. She dived right in and probably would've kept eating and playing if I hadn't stopped her, because I was worried she'd get sick. She went straight to the bath. Happy 1st Birthday Angel!

My Reader

Hayden LOVES to read! This was his first chapter book he read on his own. Since then he's read atleast 6 more. His homework is to read for atleast 15 mins a night and it was a struggle at first to get him to do this when he got home from school. Then we switched it to reading in bed before he falls asleep. Depending on the time, he usually gets in about 30mins a night, sometimes more and even on weekends he chooses to read instead of playing his Nintendo DS. (Time for me to brag....we just recieved his 2nd trimester report card and he should be at a level F reading level and he's at an independent K level....that's 5 steps above where he should be!!!) He loves to spend time at the library and pick out new books. I'm so glad he has a passion for reading like I do.

30th Birthday!

For my 30th Birthday we celebrated all week. This was on my actual birthday. My Mom brought me over triple chocolate cake from Safeway.

The kids insisted I have a cake, with candles, so they could sing to me. I honestly could care less, but we do things for our kids we don't always want to do :0) Later that week we went to dinner with our friends Peter and Steph to Red Lobster and to see "When in Rome", then went to dessert at Applebees. We had a great night!

Then a week later, we went out with some more friends, Kim and Shane & Peter and Steph. We invited some more couples from our ward, but no one else could make it. We had great night going to Sakuras for dinner and then to.......


A Comedy Sportz Club after. What a great group of friends I have. Thanks guys for celebrating my 30th with me!
